Who We Are

WAMSCO is a citizen-driven, watershed-focused non-profit organization in Shawano, WI. We represent all lakes and streams in Shawano and Menominee counties. WAMSCO seeks to achieve greater biodiversity, reduced surface water runoff, reduced nutrient load, fewer algae blooms, better fishing, and greater water recreation and enjoyment opportunities. Supported entirely by grants, member dues, and donations, we accomplish our work with a small paid staff and through the volunteer efforts of dedicated friends and neighbors.
