Dave Zelinger
Dave Zelinger grew up in Racine, Wisconsin. He attended the University of Wisconsin - Madison, receiving a PhD in Dairy Science and specializing in Population Genetics. He spent most of his professional career on the East Coast working as a statistician in the pharmaceutical industry, most recently Janssen Pharmaceutical Research. He and his wife, Cherie, moved back to Wisconsin and settled in Shawano upon his retirement in 2012. They have one son, Frank, who lives in Rochester, New York.
Dave is not only a WAMSCO board member, but he is also on the board of Shawano Area Waterways Management (SAWM). He has been involved with the Boys and Girls Club of Shawano since 2015 in various capacities. Currently, he volunteers at the club two days per week. He also volunteers at the Shawano Area Food Center and is vice-president of their Board of Directors.
